Training

The changes in Welsh politics and political system have produced an increasing
need for high level training. Positif Politics has met this challenge and
has developed and refined a series of training modules that can be delivered
on key themes and issues. You need not be a permanent client of Positif
Politics to participate in any of our types of course. We deliver our training
in one of three ways:
Bespoke courses: We can come to you or you can come to us to receive a specifically tailored course which examines the issues which you want covered. Courses can range from half a day to two full day's training. A variety of organisations have used our training services including blue chip companies and charities. Modules which we are able to offer include:
- Understanding the Welsh Assembly Government
- Understanding the National Assembly for Wales
- Effective political engagement
- Effective campaigning
- Understanding how legislation is made
- Tailored sessions on specific policy contexts
Open courses: Over twenty open courses have been run in the last two years, offering the opportunity for organisations and individuals to learn more about modern Welsh politics and policy making. We have trained hundreds of individuals through these courses.
Modules for other training events: Our trainers are available to deliver modules for other training providers or as part of skill-raising initiatives at conferences or open days. Training modules have been delivered in Cardiff, London and elsewhere.
