Scope is a disability organisation that works across England and Wales.
Scope's aim is to ensure that disabled people achieve equality: a society in which they are as valued and have the same human and civil rights as everyone else.
Scope Cymru has a small but dedicated staff team based at their headquarters in Cardiff. They run a number of successful campaigns including Polls Apart Cymru .
Scope Cymru has a good relationship with many people at the Assembly but knows it must use what resources it has wisely to maintain these after May 2007.
Scope Cymru also work closely with the Scope's 'Policy and Politics' team in London developing the innovative Time To Get Equal campaigns for a Welsh audience.

The 2007 Election Website is a great place to find information about AMs and other candidates. Having all this information in one place has saved us considerable time and effort.
We have been working hard with our campaigners to develop our Time To Get Equal manifesto for the 2007 Assembly elections. In previous years we have simply launched the manifesto and sent it to existing AMs. Election 2007 has made this a lot easier by providing contact information for all the candidates.
It's so easy - we are also going to send all the candidates an e-card for Christmas about our Polls Apart campaign!
Like many organisations, we don't have a large Public Affairs team based in Cardiff but we still want to have a significant impact on the Welsh elections.
The briefings on the site have been really helpful to get an understanding of what is going on in the run up to the Assembly election. They also take a bit of pressure of the Welsh team to keep explaining what's going on to those of us working in London.
The site has lots of different levels of information. This enabled people with varying knowledge of the Assembly and its workings understand key issues. This is good not just for people working in Wales but for people who have an interest in policy making across the UK.
Although Scope use a monitoring services to look at Assembly business, 2007 Election Website is a really good way to find out what is actually going on in and around the Senedd
I've spent a fair bit of time looking through the candidate profiles and pick out people who will have a particular interest in disability issues. This will help us plan how we are going to approach the new intake of AMs.
The site is also beginning to help us look at policy which is really interesting. The Assembly elections are going to highlight where the battle lines will be drawn for the next UK General Election.
I also like that you can ask questions to the Positif Politics team via the website. This is a really effective (and cheap) way of getting advice
Scope Cymru is using the site to help build relationship with other organisations that share our goals. We have already developed links with All Wales People First who represent learning disabled people in Wales. We gave use of our meeting room to prepare for their lobby of the Assembly.

This page outlines how different organisations are making the most of the 2007 Election Website. We hope by doing this we will share some good practice and generate some new ideas.
